I'm a 40 something woman who started in radio back when we played records! Yikes! This doesn't mean I'm not a gadget girl as I could probably change my name to iLori as I have an iPod touch, iPhone, Macbook Pro and an iPad. Not that I have any of these things in my possession half the time as my kids are playing Club Penguin or listening to me on iheartradio (grab the app now!). My twins are 8 years old and we're also proud parents of a greyhound and chiquaqua that barks everyone away from the front door. I started in radio because I love music and people and how the two interact. Lyrics move me, literally sometimes, and hopefully get you through the day as well. I love to interact with you so Facebook friend me OR let me know you're on Twitter so I can follow you that way.
I was born in Jackson, Michigan. I lived in Michigan until I was twelve years old and although I've lived in other places, a Michigan girl I will always be. My first baseball game was a Tigers game, I'm a Michigan fan (go Blue) who cried when Bo Schembechler died, grew up listening to Bob Seger on my record player and feel proud every time I see a commercial about Detroit's auto industry. For me, Detroit is coming home, to where I grew up and where my father's siblings live (the majority of all TWELVE). I have missed the corn fields, the beautiful summers and yes, even the snow. I can't wait to introduce my nine year old twins to everything Detroit has to offer and to experience all the wonderful things I did as a kid.

Father's Day Craft (super Cute! And Easy!)
My kids have only been out of school since Wednesday and they are already BORED and looking for something to do. I try mentioning I played with sticks and made mud pies and survived by they text me grumpy faces from their smart phones so I've given up on that particular lesson. The fruits of their boredom? Mustaches! Due to this interest,I put my energy into created a fun gift for father's day and came up with this.
Super easy. Find a jar with a lid, add the letters with either stickers, pain or a permanent marker, add a "stache" and fill with goodies. I love this so much I think I will put it on my "want" list for mother's day next year.

Two Faced.....kitten?
Meet Duecy, the two faced kitten. I'm not really sure if this kitten is "awww" or "ewww" but I have a heart for the underdog so I embrace Duecy (who wants to be rejected by their mother?!?!).
